Earlier this year, the Chicago’s Bull’s philanthropic arm - Chicago Bulls Charities - contacted Solu and Bright Star Community Outreach. They had heard about our wonderful partnership bridging the African-American and Jewish communities. Together, we’ve built a digital literacy center, relieved two million dollars in medical debt, fed hundreds of people, supported each other in times of pain, and more.

Now, the Chicago Bulls Charities is throwing its weight behind our partnership, by generously supporting a major expansion of the Bright Star digital literacy center, built with Solu’s help last year. The Center will soon expand into a new building, equipped with sorely needed digital infrastructure to help Bronzeville’s youth learn and grow as students.

To celebrate our work together, the Bulls hosted members of Solu and Bright Star at the United Center on March 6. We had a ball! Stay tuned for further opportunities to work together with our friends at Bright Star.
